James Bowskill is a British Art Director at A.C.O. Tokyo, where he develops brands on-line.

He also collects Japanese packaging, occasionally writes articles for Tokyo's web magazine PingMag, and is a member of London design team Superblue.

Getting The Message Across Feb 15 2006

I wanted to post this weeks ago when I first received it, but have had to wait till Ready to Go opened. I can't upload the movie without getting approval from the client, so you'll have to make do with a capture of it.

Due to tight production schedules, the sound artist and Flash developers weren't able to link their work as early as we wanted. The sound artist got round the problem by simply taking a digicam video of himself using the beta version of the site whilst clicking his sound files in time to the animation.

It was the simplest thing, but enabled us to all get a good feel of how things would come together in the following days. It was one of those getting-technology-to-work-for-you kind of moments.
